Alaskan dogs are typically thought of as sled dogs. There are a variety of sled dogs; however, not all of them are native to Alaska. Alaskan Malamute aka Alaskan Husky
Alaskan Malamutes are affectionate, loyal, and playful dogs. They are the original sled dog and need to be trained, as they are a pack dog.

Alaskan Klee Kai
Alaskan Klee Kais are smaller than the Malamute. Klee Kais make great companion dogs.

American Eskimo
American Eskimos are affectionate, alert, and adaptable dogs. They are not known to be aggressive.

Siberian Husky
Siberian Huskies are sled dogs built for endurance. They are known as friendly, playful, and agile dogs who work well in a pack.

Samoyed
Samoyeds are powerful, smart, social dogs. They have the cutest smile, which keeps them from drooling (and forming icicles in especially cold climates).

Greenland

Seppala Siberian Sled Dog
Closely related to the showy Siberian Huskies, Seppalas are more known for their capacity to work. Seppalas need a lot of activity and get bored easily. They are great with other animals!
