Alaskan dogs are typically thought of as sled dogs. There are a variety of sled dogs; however, not all of
them are native to Alaska. The breeds here are pack dogs that require some training and socialization

Alaskan Malamute aka Alaskan Husky
Alaskan Malamutes are affectionate, loyal, and playful dogs. They are the original sled dog and need
to be trained, as they are a pack dog.
Average Size: 75-85 pounds
Life Expectancy: 10-14 years

Alaskan Klee Kai
Alaskan Klee Kais are smaller than the Malamute. Klee Kais make great companion dogs.

Life Expectancy: 13-16 years

American Eskimos are affectionate, alert, and adaptable dogs. They are not known to be aggressive.
